Galette made with Lean Dough Recipe
Insanely delicious biscuits made of lean dough, in my case – with apple and onion filling! This biscuit has a lot of advantages: a minimal set of products, the absence of butter and eggs, it is very pleasant and convenient to work with the dough, and of course – an incredible number of filling options!

  1. From the specified number of ingredients, two biscuits are obtained! Today I made a norm – galette. Mix the oil with hot (almost boiling) with water.
  2. Sift flour with salt and baking powder into a bowl with water and oil. Knead the dough. Leave for half an hour to rest.
  3. While the dough is resting, prepare the filling: cut the onion into small cubes, peel the apples and cut them too. Fry the onion in butter, add the apples, put out for a couple of minutes so that they become soft. It’s done. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
  4. Half an hour passed. Roll out the dough on a baking sheet (in the form of a circle with a diameter of about 30-40 cm). There is no need to lubricate the baking sheet – there is enough oil in the dough.
  5. We spread the apple-onion filling in the center, distribute the dough, leaving the edges a few centimeters free.
  6. Sprinkle the filling with cheese.
  7. Fold the free edges of the dough (folds) onto the filling, leaving only a small hole in the center open. Lubricate with yolk.
  8. Form a “conditional circle” from foil and cover the filling with it.
  9. Place in the oven for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, the cookies are ready! Remove from the oven and leave for 10-15 minutes to cool slightly. And enjoy! Enjoy your meal!
