Today I want to offer you a very tasty and quick to prepare halva. I have been cooking it according to this recipe for many years. Sunflower seeds and nuts (walnuts, hazelnuts, peanuts) are equally good.

  1. Fry a glass of nuts (seeds) at a temperature of 200 ° C for 5 minutes. (I was frying in the microwave in the “Aero” mode) and grind into very fine crumbs with a blender. If there is no blender, pass it through a meat grinder with a fine mesh. Nuts can be packed more tightly in a glass (so that there is less empty space in it).
  2. Fry in a frying pan with a thick bottom, sprinkled with flour, until a pleasant golden color.
  3. Pour the ground nuts and fried flour into a cup. Mix well.
  4. Pour sugar into a saucepan, pour oil and water. Bring the mixture to a boil with constant stirring and cook (over medium heat) until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove the mixture from the heat and let cool for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Pour the syrup into a cup with the dry mixture and mix thoroughly
  6. Put the resulting mass into a mold and tamp it well. Put it in the refrigerator for 4 hours (preferably overnight).
  7. Place the halva on a flat plate, sprinkle with powdered sugar and garnish with nuts or seeds.
