Flat Cake with Cheese Recipe
In the summer heat, you really don’t want a lot of food. In my opinion, the ideal food in summer is bread, cheese and fresh vegetables. A cheese pie will perfectly complement a light fresh salad or a cup of coffee on a sunny morning!

  1. Mix warm water with sour cream. Add sugar and yeast, mix.
  2. In several steps, enter the flour, knead a smooth dough that does not stick to your hands. Flour may need more or less, depending on its properties. The dough is left to rise for 1-1.5 hours.
  3. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
  4. The dough came up, increased in volume. It is smooth, elastic, does not stick to your hands.
  5. Since the dough will have to be rolled out as thin as possible, I did it immediately on parchment. Additionally sprinkle with flour is not necessary. Roll out the dough thinly.
  6. Spread one part with cheese.
  7. Cover with the second part, gently pinch the edges and roll out again as thinly as possible. Prick the cake with a fork, brush with lightly beaten egg.
  8. Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for 35-40 minutes. Focus on your oven. Serve hot. The pie remains soft and delicious even the next day, after warming up in a microwave oven.
