  1. To prepare the dough, you first need to prepare a sponge. In slightly warm water, add sugar, yeast and mix. Leave under the lid for 15 minutes.
  2. As soon as the dough is ready, add salt, vegetable oil (50 ml.) and mix. Add the finished mixture to the flour and knead the soft dough. Leave, covered, in a warm place for 1 hour.
  3. For the filling: boil the potatoes and mash them into a puree. Finely chop the onion and fry in vegetable oil. Mix the onion with paprika, black pepper, salt (to taste), potatoes and finely chopped dill.
  4. To make pies, you need to lubricate your hands a little with vegetable oil. Divide the dough into 20 circles, cover and let them rise a little.
  5. Knead each circle, stuff with stuffing and pinch the edges. Blind the pies, cover and leave for 10-15 minutes.
  6. In a deep frying pan (you can also use a frying pan with a thick bottom or a deep fryer), heat the vegetable oil (400 ml.) and put the formed pies seam down in several portions. Fry on both sides until an appetizing crust forms.
