German Hunting Salad Recipe
Potato salad with mayonnaise is most common in Northern Germany. In the southern regions, instead of mayonnaise, vinaigrette sauce is used, prepared on the basis of vegetable oil and vinegar. These salads are very satisfying, and what else could be tastier in the fall, they completely replace the second for lunch and dinner.

Instructions
  1. Potatoes (medium tubers) are washed well and sent to cook in a “uniform”. It is better to take varieties that do not boil. While the potatoes are cooking, prepare the salad dressing. Take mayonnaise with quail egg.
  2. According to the original recipe, add sour cream, mustard, vinegar, a mixture of freshly ground pepper and salt to the mayonnaise. Instead of vinegar, I added a marinade of cucumbers (from mushrooms), although there is plenty of acid in the dish. Salt is also not put in such dishes.
  3. Peel the finished potatoes immediately. Cut the potatoes into slices.
  4. Pour mayonnaise dressing over the hot potatoes. Mix it.
  5. Cut red onion into half rings, pickled cucumbers into strips, mushrooms into halves or quarters.
  6. Add mushrooms, cucumbers and onions to the potatoes. Also add finely chopped any greens, I have cilantro, mix.
  7. Hunting sausages are fried in a grill pan. I have mini sausages. If you have long sausages, then cut into 3-4 cm.
  8. Put the potato salad on a serving plate.
  9. Put the sausages on top, sprinkle with a mixture of freshly ground pepper and serve immediately.
