Lean Galette Oatmeal with Apples Recipe
Today I have a lean oatmeal biscuit with apples. Very delicate and fragrant! The dough turned out crispy, but when I lift it, it becomes softer. The amount of sugar in the filling can be adjusted depending on the sweetness of the apples. Apples can be safely replaced with an addition to the plum or even replaced with pears or berries (after sprinkling them with starch)! Ideal during Lent.

Instructions
  1. In a bowl, mix flour, oat flakes, sugar, baking powder and a pinch of salt.
  2. In a cup, mix olive oil and boiling water. Pour water and butter into the dry mixture and knead the dough (if necessary, add boiling water or flour, look at the quality of your flour). Leave the dough under a towel for 20-30 minutes.
  3. Wash the apples and cut them into thin slices.
  4. On a floured work surface, roll out the dough into a 5 mm thick layer. Then carefully transfer to a baking sheet covered with baking paper.
  5. Stepping back from the edge of 5 cm, sprinkle the center of the cookie with corn starch. Lay out the apple slices in a circle overlapping, slightly retreating from the edge by 5 cm. Sprinkle the apples with sugar, cinnamon and ginger. Wrap the edges of the dough inside, forming a galette.
  6. Bake the galette for 30-45 minutes at 180 °C. Let the galette cool and serve! Enjoy your meal!
