Galette with Apples and Oatmeal-Ginger Crumb Recipe
The galette is a flat open pie. On a pancake or flat cake is placed all kinds of filling-berries, fruit, meat, cheese, fish... The sides of the pie are formed by fingers. Uncomplicated and very tasty pastries. Imagine the bottom-a thin layer of crispy dough, rosy bumpers, juicy spicy filling...
Prepare a classic version of the sweet galette for the test.
Everything is as simple as possible-mix flour, salt, sugar (required for the test amount). Add the pieces of butter, grind all into powder. Pour ice water, knead everything with a fork and knead the elastic dough.
Roll the ball out of it, put it in a bag and remove it in the cold for 1 hour.
While the dough "Matures", prepare the sprinkles.
In the mixer bowl, beat all the components of the topping - oat flakes, flour, sugar, honey, spices.
On a sheet of parchment, stretch the dough into a flat cake with a diameter of about 40 cm.
Sprinkle it with powder from the mixer, leaving a strip at the edges-for the sides.
Apples clean, cut into slices. We put them on a biscuit, starting a circle outside.
Top pie and sprinkle with mixture of 1 tbsp sugar and 1/3 tsp nutmeg.
Bake our galette in a hot oven at 200 gr. about 20-25 minutes (see your oven).
