Instructions
  1. Peel the potatoes and boil them in salted water, drain the water.
  2. Mash the potatoes.
  3. Add eggs, salt, pepper, flour (I have half the norm in the photo).
  4. Knead everything thoroughly.
  5. From the resulting potato mass, make balls (roll your hands slightly in flour) (the size is not very large, because they will increase during cooking).
  6. In parallel, we prepare the sauce: finely chopped onion and garlic squeezed through a press are fried in butter.
  7. Add tomato paste.
  8. Fry for a few minutes.
  9. Pour in water, you can add a little salt and spices (with salt carefully) (I add a pinch of sugar)
  10. Stirring all the time, bring to a boil.
  11. Add grated cheese.
  12. Simmer on low heat for 5 minutes until the cheese melts.
  13. We return to our balls: we lower the balls into boiling salted water. Cook on low heat until they pop up (it’s fast). Flip it into a colander. (or take it out with a slotted spoon, let the water drain)
  14. Pour the finished gravy into a deep dish.
  15. And now we lower the balls into the gravy.
  16. The balloons are ready. It is very important to serve them with this sauce.
