I can’t say I’m a pumpkin fan, but pumpkin baking is really something special!!! Bright color, delicate taste, delicate dough… Bread sticks made of pumpkin-based yeast dough will be a great addition to lunch or dinner!!!
Peel the pumpkin, cut into small cubes, pour a glass of milk (200 ml), cook until tender over low heat for 10-15 minutes.
Punch the pumpkin together with the milk through a blender and let it cool down to a lukewarm state.
Add yeast and 1 tbsp. l. sugar to the cooled pumpkin mass, mix, leave for 5 minutes to activate the yeast. Then add rosemary, salt and garlic, chopped on a fine grater. Pour in the vegetable oil and mix.
Gradually adding flour, knead a soft elastic dough. Put it in a bowl, cover with a towel and leave in a warm place for 1 hour to increase in volume by 2 times.
Place the dough on the work surface, roll out into a rectangle 1 cm thick. Cut into strips 1 cm wide, transfer to a baking sheet covered with baking paper.
Bake breadsticks in a preheated 180 degree oven for 20-25 minutes.
Let cool a little and serve! Enjoy your meal!!!
