  1. Mushrooms are best suited for the forest. I’ve never cooked it with mushrooms, so I can’t say what it is. Mushrooms must be boiled and passed through a meat grinder. I do not recommend using a blender, because the mushrooms will simply turn into porridge and the taste will not be the same! I have boiled mushrooms passed through a meat grinder.
  2. Pour the oatmeal into a bowl and pour boiling water over it. The water should slightly cover the top of the flakes.
  3. Cover the flakes with a lid on top and leave for 10 minutes to steam and absorb water.
  4. Take a large onion. Here it plays a huge taste role. Cut the onion into small pieces and fry in vegetable oil until golden brown. To cool down a little. Boil the eggs and grate them on a coarse grater.
  5. Add the swollen oatmeal, onion and grated eggs to the mushrooms. Mix everything well into a homogeneous mass. Add salt and seasonings. Add starch to the mass and mix well again. If the mass is watery, add another half-spoonful of starch. This time I didn’t add eggs, because I was preparing a lean version. Pour the flour onto a wide, flat plate. Shape the cutlets with wet hands, roll well in flour and fry over medium heat until golden brown.
  6. Attention! The cakes should cool completely! They are not served hot! You can serve it with anything: salad, mashed potatoes, vegetables. I eat just like that. Enjoy your meal!!!
