Cod with Sweet and Sour Vegetable Sauce Recipe

  1. Cod fillet (700 gr.) cut into slices.
  2. Add salt and ground black pepper to taste, add 2 tablespoons of flour. Add the slices of cod. Attach the bag to the top and shake slightly. Flour with this type of breading will form an even thin layer.
  3. Add 6 tablespoons of classic sunflower oil to the pan. Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Next, lay out the cod slices.
  4. Fry the fish on both sides until Golden brown and ready.
  5. Vegetables: bell pepper (1 PC.), onion (1 PC.), carrot (1 PC.) cut into pieces/slices.
  6. Add classic sunflower oil to the pan (2 tablespoons). Simmer vegetables over low heat until medium soft. Then add the vegetables to a blender and punch until puree-like consistency.
  7. Add 1 tablespoon of flour to the pan and fry the flour until light cream color and nutty smell.
  8. Then gradually add up to 400 ml. waters. Then add the vegetable puree. Boil the sauce to the desired consistency. Then add lemon juice, sugar, ground black pepper and salt to taste. At the end, add the butter (30 gr.). remove the Sauce from the heat.
  9. As a side dish, you can serve French fries, mashed potatoes, boiled rice. When serving, pour the vegetable sauce over the fish. Bon Appetit!
