I propose to cook a delicious liver and vegetable pie for the New Year. It will look beautiful on a festive table. In the recipe I use vegetable preservation. The green peas are tender, the corn is juicy and moderately sweet, and the delicious gherkins are sharp and very appetizing crispy.

  1. Chop the liver and onion in a food processor. Add eggs, flour, sour cream and salt. Stir until smooth.

  3. Fry the pancakes on both sides in a hot frying pan. I fry without adding oil. Pancakes are fried very quickly, it is important not to over-dry them.
  4. Stack the finished pancakes. Let them cool down. From the specified number of ingredients, I got 11 pancakes. The diameter of the frying pan is 20 cm .
  5. Prepare the filling. You can take any curd cheese, I have a light ricotta. Prepare jars with products: sweet corn, green peas, pickled delicatessen gherkins. You will also need dill, bell pepper, garlic, mayonnaise, salt to taste. Mix cottage cheese with mayonnaise, chopped dill, crushed garlic, salt. Mix the curd mass. Since I will have 4 types of fillers for the filling, divide the mass into 4 parts.
  6. Mix the curd mass with the peas. I will have 2 layers with each filling, so divide the resulting filling into 2 parts. Do the same with the rest of the fillings.
  7. Cut the gherkins and mix with the curd mass.
  8. Cut the bell pepper into small cubes and also mix with the curd mass.

  10. It is convenient for me to assemble the cake in a detachable form, with a diameter of 20 cm. So the cake will turn out neater. Place the liver pancake on top of half of one of the fillings, leveling over the entire surface.
  11. Make layers at your discretion. I have it in this order: with gherkins, with pepper, with peas, with corn. Alternate pancakes and different types of toppings. Apply the filling in a thin layer if you don’t want to end up with a huge wedding cake)
  12. The last pancake is not covered with anything yet. Usually I put the bottom of the split mold on the top pancake and press down with a small weight. I put it in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight. So the layers will turn out smooth, and the cake will be well soaked.
  13. It remains to decorate the liver and vegetable pie to your liking and serve it on the festive table. I’m still a decorator, I’m sure you’ll do better! The liver and vegetable pie turned out very tasty!
