I propose to prepare a delicious liver and vegetable cake for the New year. It will look beautiful on the holiday table. In the recipe, I use vegetable preservation. Green peas are tender, corn is juicy and moderately sweet, and delicious gherkins are spicy and very fervently crunching.
Let's start with making liver pancakes.
Prepare the necessary products.
All the veins must be cut out of the chicken liver.
Grind the liver with onions in a kitchen processor.
Add eggs, flour, sour cream and salt.
Stir until smooth.
Fry the pancakes on both sides in a hot pan. I fry without adding oil.
Pancakes are fried very quickly, it is important not to over-dry them.
Ready pancakes fold stack. Let them cool.
From the specified number of ingredients I got 11 pancakes. The diameter of the pan is 20 cm.
Prepare the filling.
You can take any curd cheese, I have a light Ricotta.
Prepare jars with products: sugar corn, green peas, pickled gherkins delicatessen.
You will also need dill, bell pepper, garlic, mayonnaise, salt to taste. Cottage cheese mixed with mayonnaise, chopped dill, crushed garlic, salt.
Mix the curd mass.
Since I will have 4 types of fillers for the filling, divide the mass into 4 parts.
Mix the curd mass with the peas.
I will have 2 layers with each filling, so divide the resulting filling into 2 parts. Also do with the rest of the fillings.
Mix the corn with the curd mass.
Cut the gherkins and mix with the curd mass.
Bulgarian pepper cut into small cubes and also mix with cottage cheese mass.
It is convenient for me to collect the cake in a split form, with a diameter of 20 cm. so the cake will be more accurate.
Put the liver pancake on top of half of one of the fillings, level over the entire surface.
Layers do at your discretion. I have in this order: with gherkin, with pepper, with peas, with corn.
Alternate pancakes and different types of filling.
The filling is applied in a thin layer, if you do not want to end up with a huge wedding cake)
The last pancake is not covered with anything yet. I usually put the bottom of the split form on the top pancake and press down with a small load.
I put it in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight. So the layers will be smooth and the cake will be well soaked.
It remains to decorate the liver and vegetable cake to your taste and serve on the holiday table.
