  1. Sift the flour, add baking powder, salt and vanilla extract.
  2. Grate the butter on a grater.
  3. Rub the grated butter with flour into fine crumbs.
  4. Add eggs, sugar and milk.
  5. Knead a homogeneous dough. Transfer the dough into a bag and let it stand for 20 minutes.
  6. Cut 1/4 of the total amount of dough.
  7. Roll out most of the dough on parchment into a 7 mm thick circle. In the middle we outline a circle. Make incisions 1-1.5 cm thick.
  8. We form the edges of the pie. One strip is wrapped on the right. After passing one lane, turn left.
  9. Then turn right again and turn left in one lane. So, we continue to the end.
  10. Trim the edges of the pie.
  11. We spread the filling. I get thick apple jam with crushed nuts.
  12. Roll out the second piece of dough and cut into even strips 1 cm thick.
  13. We spread it on the pie in the form of a grid.
  14. From the remains of the dough, we form thin sausages and twist them into a flagellum.
  15. Finally form a pie. Grease with egg yolk diluted with 1 teaspoon of milk. Bake at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
