  1. First prepare the vegetables, they need to be washed and peeled. Cut the cabbage in half, cut out the stalk and cut into large pieces. Cut carrots and leeks into slices. Celery – in pieces. We also cut the greens.
  2. Put the chicken skin down in a very hot frying pan. Fry for literally 5 minutes on each side. The pieces should be browned. In the process, do not forget to add salt. While the chicken is browning, rinse the rice thoroughly.
  3. Place the washed rice in an even layer on a deep baking sheet.
  4. Spread the vegetables on top of the rice. Salt.
  5. Put chicken pieces on top of the vegetables.
  6. In a bowl, mix 0.5 cups. olive oil, lemon juice, paprika, black pepper. Add a little salt.
  7. Pour the resulting mixture over the chicken and vegetables. Add 1 cup of hot water to the pot (if there is broth, then this is even better). Place in a preheated 180 degree oven and bake for about 50 minutes. Focus on your oven! You may need to cover the baking sheet with foil if the chicken starts to brown too much, or add a little more water if the rice is not liquid enough. It takes me 50 minutes for the rice to cook and it becomes crumbly, and the vegetables are soft. At the same time, I do not add water and do not cover with foil.
