Dinner in the Greek Style Recipe
I love Greece, its national traditions and, of course, great Greek cuisine! Today I propose to prepare a salad-appetizer of grilled vegetables and meatballs (small fried meatballs). If you are interested, I invite you to Sunny and hospitable Greece.

  1. I’ll make a reservation right away, the whole taste of this salad depends on how to bake vegetables. I really like to bake vegetables over an open fire. If you have a gas stove, then put a divider on the burner, if as I have an electric one, then bake directly on the burner, if the hob is made of glass-ceramic, I don’t even know what to advise… Well, if you don’t like it with smoke, then bake it in the oven. Ideally, of course, bake on an electric grill. Pierce the eggplants with a knife in several places and place them on a hot plate.
  2. Bake, turning, from all sides. To make them easy to clean, I put them in a container with a lid, and so let them cool.
  3. Pepper is baked in the same way, but do not pierce.
  4. I cook tomatoes in the microwave. I make a cross-shaped incision and put it on a plate and cook at the highest power for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Cool eggplant peel and cut into pieces.
  6. Cut the pepper into strips. By the way, if burnt pieces of skin stick, I wash the vegetables under strong water and let them drain well, it does not affect the taste and quality of the finished dish.
  7. Tomatoes are freed from the skin, choosing the pulp with a teaspoon, it is slightly kneaded them, but so that there are also pieces. If the tomatoes are very juicy, then it is better to drain the juice.
  8. Combine all the vegetables, add the onion, garlic, Basil, oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper, mix everything well. And send it to the refrigerator to cool down, because this salad is just perfect and well-chilled.
  9. Add all the ingredients to the minced meat and knead it well. Put in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  10. Molded small keftedakia. I got 16 pieces.
  11. Dust them lightly with flour and fry in well-heated oil until ready. Juicy, flavorful mmm…
  12. Serve with grilled salad, feta cheese, crackers or bread. Here is such a simple, but, believe me, a very delicious dinner we have turned out! Highly recommended!
