Lean Apple Strudel Recipe
This is a very tasty, almost classic apple strudel with nuts, raisins and spices, which is suitable for those who observe the fast.

  1. Sift the flour 2 times so that it is enriched with oxygen. Boil the water and cool it a little (so that the hand is not hot).
  2. Mix the flour with warm water and salt, gradually pour in the olive oil and knead a soft, slightly sticky dough. Cover the resulting dough with a film and let it stand for 1 hour.
  3. Peel the apples and grate them on a coarse grater (you can cut them into thin slices – as you like). Fill the raisins with hot water for 5 minutes and dry them. Finely chop the nuts.
  4. Mix apples and raisins, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, pour lemon juice and let stand until the sugar dissolves.
  5. Sprinkle a clean kitchen towel liberally with flour, put the dough on it and roll it out into a rectangle not too thinly. Then roll out the dough in a circle with your hands until it becomes transparent, like tissue paper.
  6. The dough turns out to be very elastic and easily stretches.

  9. Roll it into a roll with a towel. Carefully transfer the roll to a baking sheet.
  10. Bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes until golden brown.
  11. The pleasant smell of baking and cinnamon at this time gathers the household. Sprinkle the finished strudel with powdered sugar, decorate with berries, jam, a sprig of mint.
