Pie with Tangerines, Apples and Pudding Recipe
Very fragrant and delicious, a real winter pie! For a long time I doubted whether to put it up for a competition, having seen what masterpieces our chefs prepare, but still decided. In our family, the New Year is always accompanied by the purchase of citrus fruits, especially tangerines, and I always bake some kind of pie with them. This cake is one of my favorites. Fruit in the pudding filling and crispy crust on top – I’m sure you’ll like this tandem!

  1. To prepare our cake, we will prepare all the necessary products. In this recipe, I used vanilla-flavored pudding and baking powder.
  2. Let’s start with the test. Pour the sifted flour with baking powder into the bowl of the combine. Add sugar and chopped butter. Roll out until crumbs form. Use the “metal knife” attachment.
  3. Add 2 chicken yolks to the dough and beat again with a mixer.
  4. Divide the dough into 2 parts. One part should be slightly larger than the other. Each part of the dough should be put in a plastic bag and put in the freezer for 1 hour.
  5. After a while, cover the form with parchment, and bend the edges of the bottom so that you can see how much dough to roll out. My form is 22*22. Grate most of the dough with a grater directly on the parchment, then press your hands to the bottom of the intended contour. Carefully transfer the parchment with the dough into the mold and form the sides. Prick the dough with a fork and put it in a preheated 180 degree oven for 12-14 minutes.
  6. Pour half the milk into a saucepan, add the pudding and sugar, mix well. Pour in the remaining milk and put the pan on the fire. Stirring, bring the mixture to a boil.
  7. Cut the apples into 4 pieces, remove the skin and cut into slices about 5 mm thick. Divide the tangerines into slices. Put the fruit on the baked cake.
  8. Spread the hot pudding evenly over the fruit. Remove the second part of the dough from the freezer and spread it on top.
  9. Bake the cake for 50-60 minutes until the top is browned. The cake should cool completely.
  10. After cooling down, the cake should be put in the refrigerator for several hours. I cleaned up the night. After that, when slicing, the pieces will be smooth and beautiful. Now the pie can be served with tea or coffee.
