Today I want to share with you a recipe for puff pastry with herbs, garlic and cheese. These tortillas can be fried and baked. In the recipe I will show both options. It goes very well with the first and second courses.

  1. Add soda to kefir, mix. Then add sugar, salt and vegetable oil. Mix it.
  2. Pour flour in parts, knead a soft dough that does not stick to your hands. Brush the dough with vegetable oil, cover with cling film and leave for 20 minutes.
  3. For the filling, cut the greens. You can add fried onions to the filling, it will be juicier.
  4. Grate the cheese on a fine grater.
  5. Divide the dough into 3 parts.
  6. Roll out each part of the dough very thinly.
  7. Mix 6 tablespoons of vegetable oil with salt and spices. Brush this oil with a little rolled dough. Lightly sprinkle with flour.
  8. Sprinkle with herbs, crushed garlic and cheese.
  9. Fold the dough into the middle along with the filling. Again grease with oil, sprinkle with flour, put the greens and cheese, without garlic.
  10. Then cover with the second part of the tortilla, also brush with butter, sprinkle with flour, herbs + cheese.
  11. Fold in half, spread with butter, sprinkle with flour, herbs + cheese.
  12. Cover with the second part. Push down with your hand. Pinches the edges.
  13. Roll out into a flat cake 1 cm thick.
  14. Fry in a small amount of oil on both sides, under the lid over low heat.
  15. Turn over after 10 minutes, when the underside is browned.
  16. Option for baking. Place the tortillas on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Brush with egg. Bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes until golden brown.
