Open Pie with Poppy Seed Filling Recipe
We will need a lot of desserts, cakes and pies to celebrate the New Year holidays, for guests and friends. Try my version of cooking on an open fire! The dough turns out crumbly, the filling is delicious! Amazing! Come in, treat yourself.

  1. Mix butter at room temperature with powdered sugar.
  2. Mix flour with baking powder. Add to the butter and knead the dough.
  3. Divide the dough into two parts. In a ratio of 2:1. Wrap the smaller piece in plastic wrap and put it in the freezer.
  4. Put most of the dough in a mold (round 28 cm). Spread the dough over the entire mold, forming high sides. Put the form with the dough in the refrigerator.
  5. In a saucepan, bring the milk with sugar and butter to a boil.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix the poppy seeds and semolina. Pour the mixture into the boiling milk in a thin stream. Constantly stirring to get a thick porridge. Leave to cool completely.
  7. Mix cottage cheese with egg and cooled porridge. Add rum. Mix it.
  8. Put the filling on the cooled base of the pie.
  9. Peel the pears and cut them into medium pieces. Pour lemon juice over it.
  10. Place the pear slices on the filling, stepping away from each other. We try to slightly drown the pear in the filling.
  11. Grate the frozen dough on a coarse grater right on top of the pie. Bake in a preheated oven at 170 *C for 40 minutes.
