Steamed Cod Fillet with Vegetables Recipe
Cod fillet cooked on a steamed vegetable pillow is a quick and dietary dish. Steaming fish in this way, we get tender, juicy fish and a delicious sauce with vegetables. The cooking method is shown in the TV show. I take all the vegetables to my liking. It turns out delicious with any fish. Only the pieces should be thin so that the fish is cooked quickly and the vegetables are not boiled. For fish lovers, and not only!

  1. Wash and peel all the vegetables. For two servings, all my vegetables are small. If the fish has been frozen, defrost it. If the fish is not completely defrosted, then reduce the amount of water to 2 tbsp. l. and increase the cooking time by 5 minutes.
  2. Sprinkle the fish with salt, pepper and lemon juice. Celery, carrot, garlic, sweet pepper, zucchini cut into strips.
  3. Leek – cut the white and light green parts into rings.
  4. Pour olive oil, water and the remaining lemon juice into the pan, add a little salt and pepper. Pour out the vegetables. Heat the water to boiling point.
  5. As soon as the vegetables boil, stir and put the fish on top. Sprinkle with parsley, leaving the parsley to decorate the finished dish.
  6. From the baking paper, cut out a circle with a diameter according to the size of the mold. Cover the fish with a paper disc and a lid. Cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes. Depending on the thickness of the fish.
  7. Tender, juicy, delicious fish is ready. Carefully transfer the fish and vegetables to a plate. Sprinkle with chopped parsley. If desired, boiled potatoes or rice can be added to the side dish.
