Lean Burger with a Patty Made of Lentils Recipe
Lean burger with lentil cutlet and guacamole. During the fast, it is especially important to add more vegetable protein to your diet. One of the leaders in its content is lentils. This is a great product, you can cook a lot of different dishes from it. For example, today I want to offer you to try lentil cutlets. And to make the dish more satisfying and interesting, I suggest using these cutlets in an unusual lean burger. As a side dish for lentils, I chose one of my favorite sauces – guacamole. This refreshes the dish and makes it juicy. I added potatoes to the lentil cutlets for better stickiness and curry to give the flavor and taste of the East. All this combined led to a very tasty lean burger!

Instructions
  1. Fill the lentils with water and put them on the fire. When the water boils, reduce the heat and cook for 10 minutes. As a result, you should get almost completely ready, not boiled lentils. Peel the potatoes, cut into large cubes and boil until tender in salted water.
  2. Cut half of the onion into small cubes, peel the carrots and grate on a medium grater. Fry the vegetables in oil until golden brown, then simmer for a couple of minutes.
  3. Mix potatoes, lentils, onions and carrots.
  4. Add salt, red pepper and curry. To interfere.
  5. Form flat meatballs from the resulting minced meat and lightly roll them in flour. It turns out 5-6 cutlets.
  6. Fry the cutlets in olive oil over medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Prepare the guacamole. Peel the avocado and grind its pulp into a puree. You can do this with a fork if the fruit is very ripe, or with a blender. I like it when small pieces are felt in guacamole, so I don’t grind much. Chop the red onion very finely and mix with the avocado puree.
  8. Add finely chopped parsley, olive oil, lemon juice and salt to the sauce. Stir, and the guacamole will be ready. The main thing is not to have time to eat all this while trying.
  9. Cut the buns in half, lightly sprinkle with olive oil and fry in a frying pan until lightly browned.
  10. I’m making a burger. Spread the guacamole sauce on one half of the bun and spread it over the entire surface.
  11. Put on top of 2 cutlets.
  12. Then finely chop the cabbage. Cover the other half of the buns and serve until they cool down. You can also add other vegetables to the burger, such as tomatoes. Outside of fasting, you can add cheese, for example, tender mozzarella. If you put it on still warm cakes, it will melt slightly and it will turn out very tasty!
