Burger with Brie Cheese and Cherry-Orange Sauce Recipe
My family loves homemade burgers, so I often experiment with them. This time I wanted to make a delicious, unusual sandwich that will appeal not only to the male half, but also to the girls. The highlight of this burger is the sauce. It turns out very tasty and is ideal for “noble” cheese and juicy beef. It has a slight sweetness and sourness. This sauce can also be used with a cheese plate and grilled meat.

Instructions
  1. The first step is to prepare cherry sauce. We take out the seeds from the cherries. In winter, you can use frozen cherries, after defrosting it and letting the juice in.
  2. Cover the mold with baking paper or parchment, put the cherries in one layer and bake at 220C for 20 minutes.
  3. From extracted orange juice using a juicer.
  4. Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the orange juice and simmer for 7-10 minutes. Add the cherries, sugar, cinnamon and keep on low heat for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. We dilute starch in cherry juice. Instead of cherry juice, you can use wine. Add to the pan, simmer for a couple of minutes, stirring.
  6. Allow the sauce to cool slightly and thicken.
  7. Season the minced meat with salt and pepper, add the egg and thyme leaves. Knead the minced meat with your hands.
  8. Form from large flat cutlets. Fry in a frying pan with oil for 5 minutes on each side.
  9. Cut brie cheese into thin slices, onion into half rings, wash and dry lettuce leaves. Arugula is also perfect for this burger. I use onions because I want them to be sharp. For those who don’t particularly like raw onions, you can use a white, softer onion. Cut the burger bun into two halves, drizzle with oil and fry in a dry frying pan or grill.
  10. Forming a burger. Put a lettuce leaf on the bun, then finish cooking the burger. Pour it with 1 tablespoon of sauce, put the onion on top.
  11. Spread with brie cheese and 1-2 tablespoons of sauce. Close the other half of the rolls or put it next to it.
