Galette with Cottage Cheese and Apple Recipe
I offer you delicious pastries with cottage cheese for tea – an open sand pie-galette with cottage cheese filling and apples. The pie is prepared very quickly and easily. I took apples, but you can use plum, pear, peach, apricot.

  1. Sift wheat flour, corn flour with salt and baking powder into a bowl. Add cold margarine, diced.
  2. Grind the margarine with flour with a knife into a homogeneous fine crumb. I work as a cutter.
  3. Beat the egg with sugar, vanilla sugar, cream cheese and cottage cheese. Mix all the ingredients. If you need to pour ice water, I didn’t add it.
  4. Form a ball of dough, lightly sprinkle with flour, wrap in plastic wrap. Put it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Wash the apples, remove the core and cut into slices, sprinkle with lemon juice so as not to darken.
  6. Divide the cooled dough into four parts.
  7. Roll out one piece about 4 mm thick. I rolled out the dough between the sheets of plastic wrap, sprinkled them with flour. Put the rest in the refrigerator. Pour starch and sugar into the center. Put the cottage cheese on top of the thinly sliced apples, not reaching the edges 4-5 cm. Sprinkle with sugar and almond petals. (I made two with almond petals and two without them)
  8. Wrap the edges of the dough to the center so that the middle is open, pinch the dough and press. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. You can cook the galette immediately on baking paper, so as not to suffer when shifting.
  9. Bake the galette in a preheated oven to 190C for about 25-30 minutes until a beautiful golden crust forms (watch your oven). Lubricate the sides of the finished hot biscuits with tangerine jam. I put it in the microwave.
  10. Sprinkle powdered sugar over another hot one. You can serve galette with ice cream or whipped cream. Enjoy your tea!!!
