I offer you a delicious pastry with cottage cheese for tea - open sand cake-galette with cottage cheese filling and apples. The cake is cooked very quickly and easily. I took apples, but can be use plum, pear, peach, apricot.
Sift wheat, corn flour with salt and baking powder into a bowl. Add cold margarine, cut into cubes.
Chop the margarine with flour with a knife to a homogeneous small crumb. I work as a cutter.
Whisk the egg with sugar, vanilla sugar, cream cheese and cottage cheese. Mix all ingredients. If you need to pour ice water, I did not add.
Form a ball of dough, lightly sprinkle with flour, wrap in plastic wrap. Put it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Wash apples, remove the core and cut into slices, sprinkle with lemon juice, so as not to darken.
The cooled dough is divided into four parts.
Roll out one part at a thickness of about 4 mm. I rolled out the dough between sheets of cling film, sprinkle them with flour. The rest put in the fridge. In the center pour the starch and sugar.
Put the cottage cheese on top of thinly sliced apples, not reaching the edges of 4-5 cm. Sprinkle with sugar and almond petals. (I made two with almond petals and two without them)
Wrap the edges of the dough to the center so that the middle was open, pinch the dough and press. Put on a baking sheet with baking paper. You can prepare a galette immediately on baking paper, so as not to suffer when transferring.
Bake galette in a preheated oven until 190C about 25-30 minutes to form a beautiful Golden crust (watch your oven). Boca ready hot galette lubricate tangerine jam. I put it in the microwave.
Still hot sprinkle with powdered sugar. You can serve a galette with ice cream or whipped cream.
