Egg Tea Recipe
One of the most popular hot drinks in England, the so-called "egg tea". In general, I can't stand tea with milk, and I even got tea, which, no matter how you brew it, is tasteless and that's it. I came across a recipe for egg tea, and the tea prepared according to this recipe turned out to be so delicious that I even decided to make a gift according to this recipe.
Servings 3
Cook Time 20 minutes
Ingredients
- 50 milliliters Water boiling
- 500 milliliters Milk
- 2 pieces Egg yolk
- 2 tablespoons Cane sugar
- 1 tablespoon Black tea
Instructions
- Boil the milk.
- Only yolks are needed to make tea. Carefully separate them from the proteins.
- Whisk the yolks with cane sugar into a homogeneous mass.
- Brew black tea (1 tablespoon) with boiling water (50 ml.). It's better, of course, to do it in a teapot, but I don't have a large teapot. Withstand welding for 2-3 minutes.
- Add boiling milk. Stir the tea strongly in the teapot with a spoon. Let it brew for 5 minutes.
- Quickly pour in the yolks, stirring them continuously so that they do not curdle for 1-2 minutes. Pour the custard into cups and serve for dessert. You can add cream, vanilla, 10 g of butter to the milk.
- Enjoy your tea!!!
