Strawberry and Basil Sandwiches Recipe
Dear cooks, the strawberry season is beginning, so I share with you my favorite summer Breakfast, which I have been preparing for probably 5 years. The combination of a warm, crunchy slice of bread with juicy strawberries on a tender curd-cream cloud, seasoned with spicy Basil greens and thick balsamic cream, believe me, will not leave you indifferent! For sandwiches, you can use any seasonal juicy sweet and sour fruits/berries. My favorites are strawberries and nectarine. I heartily recommend you to try and find your own combinations of flavors!
Servings 1
Cook Time 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 50 gram Loaf
- 10 gram Butter
- 25 gram Cream cheese you can make cottage cheese 9%, ricotta
- 2 pieces Strawberries medium-sized berries, weighing 30-35g
- Balsamic balsamic cream, to taste
- Basil to taste
Instructions
- Dry the loaf slices in a toaster or oven until Golden brown (it is necessary that the bread remains soft inside and crisp outside).
- While the bread is still warm, grease with butter.
- Next, a layer of cottage cheese cream (or ricotta, cottage cheese 9%).
- Sliced strawberries (or any seasonal juicy sweet and sour fruit/berries).
- Pour over the balsamic cream. If you do not have balsamic cream, you can prepare it yourself from balsamic vinegar. Pour balsamic vinegar into a saucepan/saucepan, add sugar to taste and boil it until thick, the volume should be reduced by about half. Sprinkle the Basil on top.
- Bon Appetit!
