Ingredients
- 500 gram Turkey I have thigh fillet
- 2 pieces Onion
- 2 pieces Carrot
- 1 glass Rice
- 2 pieces Pita Bread
- 70 gram Vegetable oil or to taste
- 80 gram Butter
- 100 gram Apricots or to taste, I added 5 pieces
- 50 gram Raisins or to taste, I added just a pinch
- Salt to taste
- Seasoning a mixture of spices for pilaf (black and red pepper, coriander, barberry, cumin, turmeric, saffron)), to taste
Instructions
- Cut the Turkey meat into small pieces. I removed a small number of films.
- Fry the Turkey meat in vegetable oil, stirring constantly, until all the foam comes off and the oil becomes transparent. Cut the onion into small cubes, grate the carrots on a coarse grater and add to the meat. Cook for 7-10 minutes. Add salt and spices. Allow to infuse and cool slightly. Meanwhile: Wash the rice. Add salt (to taste). Fill the rice with water in a ratio of 1:2 and cook until tender.
- Cut the pita bread into strips, about 5 cm wide. Soften the butter. Grease the baking dish with it. Lay the strips of pita bread in the form of a fan (overlap), grease them with melted butter. It is necessary to leave the hanging parts of the pita bread.
- Put a layer of rice on the bottom.
- Then lay out a layer of Turkey with vegetables.
- Top with rice and butter slices.
- Cover the rice with the hanging parts of the pita bread, smearing lightly with water so that the petals do not fall off from each other. Top with a little butter.
- From the remains of pita bread, I made bows and decorated the top of the pilaf with them. Bake in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes at 160 degrees. For even Browning.
- Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly, cover with a lid and put in the basket. We take it with us to nature. Cut with a sharp knife into portions and put on plates! Delicious, like in a fairy tale!
- Bon appetit.
