Salad with Pineapple, Chicken and Cheese with Garlic Recipe
Ingredients
- 150 gram Chicken breast
- 100 gram Hard cheese
- 100 gram Pineapple
- 1 clove Garlic
- 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
- 0.3 tablespoons Spices any spices are suitable, for chicken or ground black pepper
Instructions
- Begin by preparing all the necessary ingredients for the salad with pineapple, chicken, cheese, garlic, and mayonnaise. If you're expecting a large number of guests, consider doubling or even tripling the quantities. Adjust the amount of garlic to suit your taste.
- For the chicken fillet, prepping is necessary. Marinate the chicken breast for a few minutes in your favorite spices (I use Italian herbs and salt).
- Next, fry the marinated chicken breast in a small amount of vegetable oil on both sides. Let the cooked chicken breast cool. Boiling the chicken fillet in salted water is an alternative, but the fried chicken adds a more flavorful touch.
- Cut the cooled chicken breast into small cubes.
- Take several pineapple rings from the jar, gently squeezing them to remove excess syrup. Cut the canned pineapple into medium-sized cubes.
- Choose any firm cheese you prefer; salty cheese works well. Grate the hard cheese using a coarse grater. Alternatively, you can cut the cheese into small cubes for a slightly different salad texture. I personally enjoy the taste with grated cheese.
- Now, prepare the salad dressing. Mix mayonnaise with spices (Italian herbs work well, or use regular ground black pepper). Add pressed garlic and blend thoroughly. You can make your own mayonnaise—recipes are available after the final step. If desired, you can replace mayonnaise with sour cream or thick, unsweetened yogurt.
- Combine all the prepared ingredients in a deep dish and add the garlic dressing. Gently mix the salad. Taste a sample and, if needed, add salt to taste.
- Arrange the salad in a bowl, garnish with herbs if desired, and serve. For a festive presentation, consider layering the salad in a serving ring for a more spectacular appearance. Enjoy your meal!
Recipe Notes
It's advisable to prepare mayonnaise from scratch. Additionally, as an alternative dressing, consider using not only mayonnaise but also sour cream or natural yogurt. These can be used individually or blended with mayonnaise in any proportion to suit your taste, offering a lower-calorie option for the dish.
Ensure that salads are crafted from thoroughly chilled ingredients. Using warm components can lead to rapid deterioration of the salad.
Given the individual variations in preferences for saltiness, sweetness, bitterness, spiciness, acidity, and heat, always incorporate spices, herbs, and seasonings according to your taste. If experimenting with certain seasonings for the first time, be cautious, as there are spices—such as chili pepper—that should be handled with particular care.
