Rice "Gajar Pulau" Recipe

Instructions
- Heat the oil in a thick-walled saucepan over medium heat and pour in our spices - sesame seeds, cloves, black pepper, cinnamon stick and coconut chips.
- Fry, stirring, until the coconut shavings turn golden.
- Now pour in the rice and fry it for a few minutes until the rice grains become slightly transparent.
- Add hot water and the rest of the ingredients, increase the heat and bring to a boil. The water can be pre-boiled in a kettle.
- Reduce the heat to a minimum, cover with a tightly closing lid and simmer over low heat, without stirring, for 20-25 minutes, until the rice becomes airy, the vegetables are soft, and all the liquid is absorbed. Turn off the heat and leave the rice under the lid for 5 minutes so that the tender grains gain strength.
