Cheese and Onion Rolls with Sesame Seeds Recipe
Cheese buns are delicious, soft and very fragrant. They contain green onions and garlic, so feel free to serve them with soups or broth, boiled potatoes or rice. They are perfect for sandwiches or canapes. Good in both warm and cold form for snacking.

Cook Time 70 minutes
Ingredients
- 330 gram Flour
- 150 gram Hard cheese
- 1 bunch Green Onion
- 1 clove Garlic
- 200 ml Milk
- 120 gram Butter
- 2 tablespoons Semolina
- 0,5 teaspoon Soda
- 0,5 teaspoon Baking powder
- 0,5 teaspoon Salt
- 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon Sour cream for greasing buns
Instructions
- Chop the green onions. Squeeze the garlic through a press.
- Grate the cheese on a fine grater.
- Add semolina, salt, baking soda and baking powder to the flour. Be careful with salt, if the cheese is salty, you can add less.
- Stir in the butter, cut into chunks. Grind into crumbs.
- Add green onions and cheese. Stir.
- Pour in cold milk.
- Knead a fairly thick dough.
- Cover the baking sheet with paper. Roll the balls and flatten them slightly. I have a diameter of about 5 cm. Note that they will increase slightly when baking. Top future buns with sour cream and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Preheat the oven to 220 degrees. Put the pan in the oven and bake for 20 minutes.
- Bon Appetit!
