Norwegian Honey Cake Recipe

This pie is exactly to my taste: not sweet, not raw, and not even wet... and very fragrant. Everything I love!

  1. Beat the eggs with sugar until a frothy mass forms.
  2. Add honey and melted butter. Mix it. Add spices and baking powder.
  3. Sift the flour on top and beat with a mixer until smooth.
  4. Add cranberries, mix well.
  5. Pour the dough into a greased and lightly sprinkled semolina mold. Bake in a preheated 150 *C oven for about 40-50 minutes or until completely dry. I must say that after 40 minutes my pie was ABSOLUTELY raw. And after 50 minutes it was raw. In total, it was baked for 1 hour and 20 minutes until ready. But maybe it's a feature of my oven.
  6. Cool the cake and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
