Tender Meat Casserole with Cabbage Recipe
Tender casserole with minced meat, broccoli and cauliflower. An ideal disc for both everyday dining and for receiving guests. The casserole can be prepared in advance, the day before the appointed hour, covered with cling film and put in the refrigerator, and bake shortly before lunch or dinner.

Ingredients
Vegetable layer:
- 500 gram Broccoli already prepared inflorescences
- 500 gram Cauliflower already prepared inflorescences
- Salt to taste
Meat layer:
- 1 kilogram Minced meat
- 3 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1 piece Onion finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons Flour wheat / Flour
- 1,5 glass Milk hot, glass 250 ml
- 1 bunch Parsley finely chopped
- Seasoning (I used garlic powder, ground black pepper, a little cinnamon, to taste
- Salt to taste
Sauce:
- 6 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- 5 tablespoons Flour wheat / Flour
- 4 glasess Milk
- 2 pieces Egg yolk
- 2 glasess Cheese hard grated on a fine grater
- 1 pinch Nutmeg
Instructions
- Pour a little oil into the pan and put the onion. When the onion becomes transparent, add the minced meat. Mix thoroughly, breaking up the lumps. Salt. Fry until all the liquid has evaporated.
- Add 2 tablespoons of flour (we collect flour with a spoon without fanaticism, the hill is small). Mix it.
- Gradually add one and a half cups of hot milk, mixing thoroughly each time. Add spices. Add the parsley. Mix it. Remove from the heat and set aside.
- Prepare the sauce. Pour 6 tablespoons of olive oil into a saucepan, do not forget about the butter. Add 5 tablespoons of flour and mix.
- Gradually add hot milk (4 stacks), kneading each time until a homogeneous mass without lumps is obtained.
- Remove from the heat, add a pinch of nutmeg. Mix it.
- Add the yolks and mix quickly so that they do not curdle.
- Then add the grated cheese and mix again. The sauce should be salty to taste. You might think it should be a little salted.
- In a fairly large shape (I have an oval 27x39 cm), we spread a little sauce.
- Then half of the minced meat. Take your time, try not to mix both layers.
- Then lay out the broccoli and cauliflower. It is better to divide them into small pieces so that they are easier to eat. Be sure to add salt.
- Then lay out a layer of the remaining minced meat.
- And the last one is the rest of the sauce. Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for about an hour. Focus on your oven. Another tip: after serving the first piece of casserole, put a piece of bread in the mold, it will absorb excess juice.
- That's it! Let the casserole stand for a bit, just 15 minutes, and you can eat!
