Whole Wheat Blueberry Pie Recipe

Whole Wheat Blueberry Pie Recipe

A very tasty and beautiful pie made of whole grain flour. For those who have not tried to use this flour in sweet pastries, I recommend to try it, you will be pleasantly surprised. Berries can be used frozen, thawed before baking. For a winter evening with a cup of tea, this pie is just perfect.

Instructions

  1. Whisk the softened butter with sugar and salt. Add the eggs, vanilla essence and sour cream one at a time.
  2. Mix the flour with baking powder and mix. I used baking powder for gingerbread, so the color turned out to be dark.
  3. Wash and dry the cranberries. You can use ice cream.
  4. Add the flour to the egg mixture and mix.
  5. Add the cranberries to the dough and mix. Grease a 24 cm diameter mold with butter and sprinkle with flour or, as I do, cover with baking paper. Pour out the dough.
  6. Make a crumb from whole-grain flour, butter and sugar.
  7. Sprinkle the pie with crumbs. Put the cake pan in the preheated oven and bake at 180 degrees for about 45 minutes, look in your oven.
  8. The finished cake is cooled and can be served to the table.
  9. Bon Appetit!
