Smoked Mashed Green Peas Recipe
I've seen the recipe for this puree for a long time in some program. I cook it often, both on normal days and on holidays. This puree is good as an independent dish, and as a side dish. Smoked mashed potatoes are perfectly combined with a roll of chicken breast in bacon.

Cook Time 20 minutes
Ingredients
Basic:
- 400 gram Green peas frozen
- 100 gram bacon smoked
- 1 piece Onion
- 1 tablespoon Dill
- 1 tablespoon Parsley
- 1 teaspoon Fennel seeds
- 50 ml Cream
- 2 cloves Garlic
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
For serve:
- Zucchini to taste
- Tomato (sun-dried) to taste
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Lemon juice to taste
Instructions
- To make mashed potatoes, we will need frozen green peas, onions, bacon, fennel seeds, garlic, herbs, salt, pepper and cream.
- Cut the bacon into small cubes and fry in a frying pan until soft. Do not overcook, it should remain soft.
- Add onion, garlic, fennel seeds, salt and pepper, and herbs to the fried bacon in the pan.
- Fry on low heat for about 10 minutes.
- Green peas, without defrosting, dip in boiling salted water. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Mix the peas and smoked dressing.
- Pour in the cream and whisk with a blender. I like the puree to have a texture, so I don't make it completely homogeneous. If you need to achieve velvety puree, add more cream and rub the puree through a sieve.
- To serve, use zucchini zucchini, cut into thin slices. Sprinkle it with lemon juice, salt, pepper, and sprinkle with dried tomatoes. Place on a baking dish. Put the smoked puree of green peas inside.
- Decorate the puree as desired and serve as a side dish or as an independent dish. Enjoy your meal!
