Butter refers to dairy products and is made from cow’s milk, or rather from cream. Butter is whipped in special apparatuses, where milk is poured. However, butter can be prepared at home.
How to Make Butter Using a Mixer?
Chilled cream of 33% fat content (or more) is whipped in a mixer at maximum power for 10 minutes. 400 ml of cream should make about 150 g of butter.
The liquid separated during this time is drained, and the oily mass is whipped in the same mode for up to 5 minutes.
The liquid separation and whipping cycle is repeated again for 2-3 minutes until the mass is compacted.
The resulting oil is collected with a spoon into a “bun” and slightly crushed. Such a bun should “rest” a little to release some more excess fluid.
Then the butter lump is rolled out on parchment and salted to taste. You can add finely chopped herbs or spices to it. To mix well, it is folded in half several times and rolled out again. In addition to mixing, it is possible to get rid of moisture residues in this way.
How to Make Butter Without Devices?
The butter recipe is very simple:
We take a three-liter jar, pour cream into it (at least 30% fat content) by about 1/3 (a larger amount will be more difficult to beat).
Next, you need to close the jar very tightly and start shaking it with your hands so that the cream inside is actively moving, splashing and bubbling (Turn the jar horizontally and shake with two hands from left to right).
The process takes about 1 hour, it all depends on your physical fitness.
The work is quite masculine, painstaking, time-consuming, but the butter eventually turns out to be very tender and delicious. It is very difficult to find such butter in the store.

My experience in making cookies is not too great, but I’ll tell you what – this is the most delicious biscuit! Delicate crispy dough, nutty paste and fruit filling with caramel notes is super! You can add a ball of ice cream to a piece of warm biscuits, sprinkled with caramel sprinkles, and it will be “just some kind of holiday!”.
The most wonderful thing about these biscuits is the taste. I was also pleased with the structure of the cookies. Oat flakes are quite small, but not homogeneous; they are felt, but easily dissolved. This grain cookie is very well suited for a full breakfast.
Since mushroom abundance continues in our region, and traditional methods of cooking mushrooms have been exhausted, I decided to bake galetta with mushrooms.
Galetta is a flat open pie. All kinds of fillings are put on a pancake or flatbread – berries, fruits, meat, cheese, fish… The sides of the pie are formed with fingers. Simple and very tasty pastries. Imagine the bottom – a thin layer of crispy dough, ruddy sides, juicy spicy filling…
Summer, greenery, country holidays… The best time of the year! Whim and peace, how can there be no sweets? Too simple and too damn delicious!!! Crispy, juicy biscuits! Sweet and sour blackberries on a sweet fruit pillow.
Delicious, crumbly sand pie with juicy fragrant filling. This is my impromptu. I bought rosemary for lamb legs, it turned out to be too much, so I decided to cook something sweet with this herb. It’s been interesting for a long time how it turns out – a combination of rosemary and sweet filling. It turned out very tasty, fragrant, exotic.
If you love cabbage, be sure to try to cook this biscuit! The dough turns out almost smooth, a lot of cabbage filling, pleasant cranberry sourness – just a song!!!
When I was cooking cottage cheese, I got a wonderful serum. And I promised you that it would continue! Meet homemade ricotta! And a great biscuit with it. Tender dough and delicious filling made this biscuit a favorite in our unsweetened pastries!
Just a quick and delicious version of a juicy and crispy summer dessert. The dough can be prepared in advance and a bright and festive dish can be prepared 20 minutes before the arrival of guests.
