Nuremberg Gingerbread with Cherries and Nuts Recipe

Ingredients
- 100 gram Butter
- 1 piece Chicken egg
- 100 gram Honey
- 80 gram Sugar
- 10 gram Baking powder
- 1 teaspoon Ginger ground
- 2 teaspoons Cinnamon ground
- 0,5 teaspoon Cloves ground
- 0,5 teaspoon Allspice ground
- 50 gram Dark chocolate
- 120 gram Almond
- 120 gram Cherries candied
- 420 gram Flour wheat / Flour
Instructions
- For the dough: it is necessary to beat the butter with sugar. Add the egg and mix it well.
- Add the melted honey. Mix well.
- Sift the flour. Add baking powder and spices to it. Mix everything well.
- In two or three steps, pour the flour into the egg-oil mixture. Knead a soft elastic dough. Roll a sausage 20 cm long from the dough. Wrap in plastic wrap. Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Cut the sausage into 0.5 cm thick circles and place on baking sheets. Bake in a preheated 180 °C oven for 10 minutes, let cool.
- Break the chocolate into pieces and melt in a water bath. Smear chocolate cookies.
- Cut the candied cherries into slices. In the middle of each gingerbread, put half a walnut, spread out pieces of cherries and almonds around.
