Quick Chicken Gyros Recipe
Simple, affordable, and most importantly, very tasty! I continue to introduce you to the wonderful Greek cuisine. Gyros is thinly sliced or planed (not in our case, but I will try to introduce another recipe) pork or poultry meat, very popular in Greece, and the ideal pair for it, of course, will be a Greek tortilla-lavash. Ingredients
Chicken:
- 600 gram Chicken fillet can be replaced with milled chicken thigh
Marinade:
- 50 ml Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Paprika sweet
- 1 pinch Red hot pepper
- 1 teaspoon Oregano
- 3 tablespoons Lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Coriander
- 1 clove Garlic
- 1 teaspoon Lemon zest
Instructions
- It is better to prepare and weigh the products necessary for the preparation of gyroscopes in advance.
- Fillet cut into thin strips.
- Put the coriander, garlic, paprika, hot pepper, oregano, zest, lemon juice and salt in a mortar and rub everything very well. Add the oil and mix well.
- Pour the marinade over the fillets.
- Mix it. Close it and put it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours
- Fry in a hot frying pan without adding oil.
- Serve with zajiki, tomatoes and onions. And it tastes best with pita bread.
