Did you know that ordinary rice can become a real delicacy if it is cooked properly? Perhaps one of you will object and say: - "What is there to cook - filled with water, cooked and ready!" But, no! Properly cooked rice exudes a wonderful, natural aroma, has a unique taste and looks amazing. In India, where rice is cooked almost every day, all its subtleties have been studied for a long time and all its secrets have been revealed. Today I want to share these "secrets" with you.
Instructions
- Change the water several times and repeat the process until it becomes clean, as in the photo. Washing rice allows you to remove from the surface particles of rice flour, the remains of husks and grains of debris, if any. Always wash the rice, even if it is the most expensive and high-quality. Next, the rice needs to be dried a little.
- Now boil the water in a separate pot or kettle. And while it boils, melt the butter in a thick-walled frying pan, add salt, spices, rice and fry it a little while stirring constantly. The secret here is that with careful mixing, each piece of rice is covered with oil and when cooking they remain separate, which ultimately allows you to get a wonderful crispy rice. When frying, the process consists of two stages - first the rice becomes transparent, and then it acquires a milky color. At this point, you should stop and move on to the next step.
