Pie with Oranges Recipe
Bright as the sun, sweet and a little tart from the orange peel... A delicious cake for homemade tea will be even tastier the next day after cooking, when it is completely soaked in syrup.

  1. Remove the zest from one orange, cut the orange in half and squeeze the juice out of it. You should get 1/3 cup.

  2. Mix the orange and lemon juices, sugar and salt in a saucepan. Cut the remaining oranges into thin slices. Put the oranges in a saucepan, bring everything to a boil and cook for 5-7 minutes. Remove the oranges with a slotted spoon, continue to cook the syrup for another 10-15 minutes, until about half a cup remains.

  4. Sift flour, semolina, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Mix flour and butter-egg mixture. Grease the molds with a diameter of 24 cm with butter, pour the dough into them. On top we spread slightly overlapping cooked rings of oranges. Put the pie in the oven for 15 minutes. Then reduce the temperature to 175 degrees and bake for another 30-40 minutes.
