Ingredients
Chicken:
- 1500 gram Chicken
- 1 tablespoon Melted butter
- 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Wine mix:
- 250 ml Dry white wine
- 1 piece Bay leaf
- 2 pieces Star anise
- 4 pieces Allspice (peas)
- 2 pieces Cloves
- Greens currant twigs, dill greens and seeds, barberry berries
Additionally:
- 800 gram Potatoes
- 150 gram Carrot
- 2 pieces Onion
- 6 cloves Garlic
- 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- First you need to pick up a jar, try the chicken in the jar in the oven. As a rule, a medium-sized chicken is suitable for a jar of about 5 liters. Wash and dry the chicken. Secure the neck with a toothpick.
- Rub the chicken with salt and pepper inside and out. Spread melted butter under the skin.
- Pour the wine into a clean jar, add bay leaf, star anise, dill, currant twigs, allspice, cloves, barberry. Add boiling water to 0.45 l.
- Put the chicken in a mold and place on a baking sheet. It is pre-lined with foil. We send it to the oven, the temperature is 200 degrees, for 30 minutes
- Melt the honey and mix with 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
- During baking, brush the chicken with honey-oil mixture several times.
- Wash the potatoes and carrots, peel the onion and cut it into convenient slices. Parse the garlic into cloves. Add salt, pepper and pour in 1 tbsp vegetable oil, mix.
- Put the vegetables on a baking sheet. Bake for another 40 minutes at a temperature of 200 degrees. Brush the chicken and vegetables with honey-oil mixture a couple of times.
- When the potatoes are ready, remove the chicken from the oven. After swiping the knife through the jar, carefully remove the chicken.
