Recipes of dough products are so widely known that without them it is impossible to imagine either modern or traditional cooking. Recipes for flour products are diverse and incredibly popular, we can make pies and cookies, pancakes, donuts, dumplings and, of course, bread from this.
Flour is not only wheat flour, which is most familiar to us. There is buckwheat flour, corn, rice, barley, as well as soy, pea and even bone. A variety of flour dishes have accompanied mankind since time immemorial. Every nation has many traditional recipes for dishes with flour of different types and grinding. Unleavened tortillas, lush loaves, cakes and pastries, noodles, pasta – all these are flour products.
These incredible tortillas can be safely cooked in whole portions, even if they remain, they can be stored in the refrigerator (or even frozen), and when served, reheat in a microwave oven or in a dry frying pan. A great substitute for bread.
Bright, hearty pie! It includes kefir dough, spinach and a set of vegetables “Mexican mix” – green string beans, corn, green peas, sweet bell peppers and carrots!
The pie is excellent, no, not so – the pie is simply incomparable – tender, creamy dough, crispy, sweet steisel and apple filling – couldn’t resist? Then I invite you to a cup of tea with a piece of this pie! After all, there aren’t that many apple pies!
Here is a simple and delicious fish pie that will perfectly decorate the festive Easter table. When egg yolks are added to the dough, the dough acquires a very soft, delicate structure, a pleasant sweet taste.
Italian Easter cake is prepared with traditional spring greens and eggs. It can be nettle, chard, beet greens, spinach, green onions, sorrel. A mandatory component of the filling is cheese. Ricotta gives the filling a delicate texture, and parmesan has a piquant taste. In my version, I combined several recipes of this dish. Taking the shortbread dough as a basis, I moved a little away from the classic version with the Filo dough. But the stuffed version, in my opinion, is the most successful. It holds its shape perfectly, has a delicate taste and a light, airy texture.
You can cook with fish, minced meat or, like me, with sausage and bacon. The rest depends on availability. The dough turns out very tasty even without filling.
I love the beautiful design of any dishes and always watch with delight the work of others, I try to cook thematically myself, decorating and adding something interesting. For Easter gatherings, for example, I will bake such cakes.
