- 1.8 kilogram Chiken whole carcass
- 1 kilogram Salt

- Position the chicken with its back facing down on the bed of salt. This will slow down the release of juices from the chicken, helping it retain its juiciness. You can also tie the chicken's legs together with kitchen twine. Brush the top of the chicken with the honey-oil mixture; it's the honey that will create a crispy, golden-brown crust on the chicken.
- To prevent the wingtips and legs from overbaking, you can cover them with pieces of foil. Place the chicken in the preheated 180°C (356°F) oven and roast it for approximately 1.5 hours or until it achieves a beautiful golden-brown color. Periodically baste the chicken with the remaining honey mixture from the bowl, as the juices released by the chicken will be absorbed into the salt.
