- Salt and pepper the salad. Pepper you can use whatever you like. I like to put in a freshly ground pepper mixture. Add finely chopped garlic. Focus on your taste, but garlic should not be much, it should give not so much sharpness as piquancy. Season the salad with olive oil and sprinkle, to taste, balsamic vinegar.
