- We spread the potatoes cut into small cubes to the onion. Let the potatoes soak in onion oil. Don't fry the potatoes! Boil the water (in a kettle). Transfer the potatoes to a saucepan and pour boiling water level with the contents. We do not need a lot of liquid, so that it is not drained later, it is also with butter. Cook the potatoes until tender, and this is about 20-25 minutes. About 10 minutes before the end of cooking, salt the potatoes and put allspice and bay leaf in a saucepan.
- The potatoes are cooked. Very fragrant. Remove from the heat and remove the allspice and bay leaf, they are no longer needed. We drain all the liquid from the pan into a mug (a suitable container). We knead the potatoes, gradually pouring the drained liquid into it, and bring it to the desired consistency. It's to your taste. I have about 50 ml of liquid left. Mashed potatoes are ready.
