Sandwiches in Cretan and in Spanish Recipe
I want to introduce you to a Spanish sandwich called "poor Andalusian breakfast" and a Cretan sandwich "Dacos". Dacos is one of the most popular traditional dishes of Cretan cuisine. A colorful, juicy and very appetizing snack. Both are very tasty and easy to prepare in their own way.
Servings 4
Cook Time 20 minutes
Ingredients
- 2 pieces Bread
- 1 piece Tomato
- 1 clove Garlic
- 3 tablespoons Olive oil
- 2 pieces Olives green
- 10 gram Feta
- Capers to taste
- Basil to taste
- Salt, black pepper to taste
Instructions
- We will need two slices of well-dried bread. In the original Spanish sandwiches, crusty bread is needed, and stale bread is really good for dadas.
- Grate the tomato on a coarse grater.
- Rub one slice of bread with garlic. Pour oil over both loaves well and add salt.
- Spread the tomato pulp on both pieces. And now our "Poor Andalusian Breakfast" is ready - it's bread sprinkled with garlic.
- For convenience, we crumble feta, pepper to taste, cut olives and basil. Instead of basil, you can use dry oregano or parsley. Capers are also a good choice. And now our dacos is also ready.
- These are wonderful sandwiches of Mediterranean cuisine! Enjoy your meal!
