- In a saucepan with water, add carrots (cut into pieces), 1 onion, chicken legs, bay leaf, cloves and bring to a boil, periodically collecting foam. Add the peas, bring to a boil, switch to a low heat and cook under a half-closed lid for 1 hour, just do not forget to constantly remove the foam. I cook for a long time because homemade meat is hard to get. We buy frozen meat.
- Then take out all the ingredients. Add water, chopped potatoes, bring to a boil, turn on medium heat and cook for 15 minutes. While the potatoes are cooking, grate the carrots on a coarse grater and cut the ham (I finely chop). Bay leaf, cloves and onions. Return the sliced ham back to the pot with the potatoes.
