Sort the raisins, wash them. It is better to buy raisins that are sold by weight, and not in bags.
Put the washed raisins in a teapot and pour boiling water. It is not necessary to add sugar - see the following photo.
And here's the sugar - if you look closely, the photo shows streaks or waves inside the kettle - it dissolves sugar and is seen thicker than water syrup. For reference: there is more glucose and fructose (natural sugar) in raisins than in grapes, up to 8 times. At the same time, in some grape varieties, the sugar content reaches 20%.
One of the disadvantages is a long wait for the infusion - at least 30 minutes. Doctors recommend raisins as a remedy against anemia and general weakness, fever and gastrointestinal disorders, heart and kidney diseases, as well as colds!
