Chocolate Truffles with Mashed Potatoes Recipe

Chocolate Truffles with Mashed Potatoes Recipe

No, it's not a typo. I actually used mashed potatoes to make truffles instead of heavy cream or butter. And believe me, if you don't know, no one can tell what they're made of. This is a kind of "dietary" option, because there are much fewer calories and fat here than in ordinary truffles. In addition, you will need only four ingredients. And delicious!!!

  1. First, we will immediately say that the puree should be taken without adding seasonings, garlic, sour cream and a small amount of salt. In a small bowl, break up the chocolate. Melt it in any way possible, stirring constantly. I did it in a water bath.
  2. When it has completely melted, remove from the heat and add the mashed potatoes and vanilla, stir until the mixture becomes homogeneous without lumps of mashed potatoes. Put the mixture in the refrigerator for 40-50 minutes.
  3. After 40 minutes, remove from the refrigerator. Take 2/3 tablespoons of the mixture and roll the balls between your palms (about 14 pieces). Roll in chopped nuts, waffles, small coconut chips, cocoa or powdered sugar, and then put on a flat dish or baking tray and cool for about an hour.
  4. Keep the candy in the refrigerator (if, of course, there is something to store)
