Boil in salted water until tender, adding a tablespoon of vegetable oil so that the stars do not stick together after cooking. Don't boil it! It is better not to cook, then bring it to the desired readiness, holding it in hot water outside the stove.
My lentils are red and very quick to prepare.
Also boil in unsalted water, with the addition of 1 tbsp of vegetable oil to reduce the formation of foam. It took me 15 minutes from the moment of boiling. It is better to add salt to the beans at the end of cooking or directly to the finished product itself.
Strain the lentils and pasta. Put them together. Add butter, seasonings and salt to taste.
